The Swing Set is Gone

We are blessed to find joy and new life as we center our faith on Christ overcoming death. If we internalize this resurrection message we seek a deeper understanding in the ways in which God is giving birth to new life within us as well.

Recently, I have been reading “When the Heart Waits” by Sue Monk Kid and she helped me come to new understandings of surrender, “Letting go” – and “Let it Be”. As we embrace new life, some facets of our life die off. It is a letting go. I felt some sadness when we took down the swing set recently, that phase of life had passed. Now on to new adventures as our young grow.

We are growing as well and the life of faith in us is always growing. Sue Monk Kid reflects, “You can’t control the life in you it grows and emerges in its own time. Be patient and nurture it with all your love and attentiveness. Be still and cooperate with the mystery God is unfolding in you.” “Let it Be.
