Zwingli UCC Paoli is providing this Cafe' several times a year to promote the opportunity for sustainable living by fixing broken items (when it can be done) over sending them to landfills and spending the money to purchase a new item. This is one way we can support residents in our community as well as provide an opportunity to connect with each other. It's a Cafe', so we have a Hospitality Team providing free refreshments as well!! All ages welcome (but please watch young children closely around our repair tables).
Repair Cafés are free meeting places and they’re all about repairing things (together). In the place where a Repair Café is located, you’ll find tools and materials and volunteer repairers (with repair skills) to help you make any repairs you need. On clothes, furniture, electrical appliances, appliances, toys, et cetera. You’ll also find expert volunteers.
Visitors bring their broken items from home. Together with the specialists they start making their repairs in the Repair Café. It’s an ongoing learning process. If you have nothing to repair, you can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee. Or you can lend a hand with someone else’s repair job.
There are over 2,500 Repair Cafés worldwide... See the house rules we use at the Repair Café.

At this point we have 6 repairers. Here is an introduction to them and to what they repair:
Larry Brunkow professional electrician, so all things electrical
Debbie Versnik clothing and fabric items repair
Sourabh Kenjale professional tech guy, so all things technology
Rich Legler professional carpenter so all things carpentry
Louise Brunkow "Debbie and I are the sewing ladies. We will try to fix your clothing problems"
Dwight Springer
Will sharpen your knives and tools
PLEASE NOTE: We will try to repair pretty much any items that are portable enough for you to bring into the repair cafe. However, for safety reasons there are a few things we cannot attempt to repair, including: microwave ovens, bike helmets, baby car seats, or anything that runs on petrol or gas. If you're not sure, please just drop us a line at zwingliuccpaoli@gmail.com Thank you!
If your item needs something purchased (like a zipper or buttons or an electrical cord or . . . ), please purchase in advance and bring it in (hopefully it will be what is needed but if not you can return it). If we find that we need an additional part that our repairers do not have, you may need to purchase and bring back to our next Cafe (or maybe the repairer can tell you how to repair it).
