Welcome to the Zwingli UCC Paoli website . . . and we hope to someday welcome you to Zwingli Church! Please come visit us on a Sunday morning for 9:30 am Worship! You will find a very accepting and warm-hearted community of people from diverse backgrounds who seek to be a loving community for one-another, and to be a loving community for those in need through our service activities and donations to ministry programs which reach out to bring resources and justice to many places in the world.
I have been at Zwingli since June 2024 and it has been a joy to serve Christ among the sweet, fun and compassionate people of Zwingli. I look forward to offering programs that meet the spiritual needs of the people of Zwingli, as well as unique needs of our aging population -- to be a place of support as many of us face the joys and challenges of aging and retirement. I hope you'll watch for information on upcoming opportunities we might offer in addition to Sunday Worship. To get on our mailing list, send your contact information to me or to our Office email (see Contact Us page).
This coming week we enter Holy Week. It is a week for our community to come together as we remember the story of Jesus as he faced persecution and death, yet remained compassionate and forgiving even for his persecutors. As Father Richard Rohr says, Jesus demonstrated for us "how to stand against hate without becoming hate, how to oppose evil without becoming evil". And he revealed God's great gift of Life for us both in this earthly realm and after our death. We hope you will join us for any of the Worship services during Holy Week. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Zwingli is a congregation of the national United Church of Christ. To learn more about the UCC, I invite you to check out their website Who We Are Page. "The United Church of Christ is an inclusive and diverse community of Christians connected by faith that calls us to build a just world for all." As a UCC pastor, it is my joy to nurture this mission as well as nurture the members and friends of Zwingli through pastoral care, worship, spiritual development, and building community. I feel blessed to serve this community known as Zwingli UCC -- and look forward to welcoming you, should you choose to visit us on a Sunday or for any other opportunities we provide! If you have any questions, please contact me!
Blessings,
Pastor Karla
